THIS DAY HAS FINALLY CAME....HOME AT LAST FOREVER!!!!!!!!
Here are several pics of our BIG day. This day was everything I dreamed of for 2 years. All our family and friends were there to welcome Nicholas home. It was amazing. Thank you to everyone. It meant so much to us for you to share this special day with us.
We were so worried about overwheling Nicholas. He showed us. He went to everyone and smiled like he knew them this whole time. It was such a blessing. Nicholas fits right on in with all of us. He loved to play with the balloons people brought and just adjusted very well.
After the airport we went to momma and daddy's house to play and then off to Logan's. We finally got a good piece of meat, I was living off of fruit and onion rings in Guatemala. I was ready for some real food. Nicholas ate taters and baked apples. Therefore, when we got home I had my first experience with a poop diaper. I will be honest I threw up and Chris had to finish. I am a pro now though. I could do it with my eyes closed LOL....
Please enjoy the pics and thanks again everyone.

Apology...
Hello Friends and Family-
As most of you know the journey of getting Nicholas home was very upsetting until the end. I want to take a moment to apologize that I have not posted since August. We had to hire a personal lawyer in Guatemala to protect our son and some families and the director of Semillas, Nancy Bailey, had a problem with that decision we made as parents. I became very private of how we were handling the situation of getting our son home sooner than later.
While we were in Guatemala in August we were able to get Nicholas's passport and visa for him to travel home but with the raid in May 2008 prevented the children to leave Semillas and the country. We have rights to our son and I was determined Nancy was not goin to have the control of making decisions of our childs leaving. So thank god for Roberto (our lawyer).
I will just say that Nancy Bailey will answer for her wrong doings as the director. She made alot of bad choices and decisions which she will answer for. I have to be the bigger person and let GOD have control of that situation. My heart breaks for those children who will grow up there and the families who do not know the true story.
Chris and I got an email from our lawyer, Roberto, who asked us to travel. We got on an airplane March 2, 2009 and returned on March 13, 2009 . Our trip consisted of traveling to the orphange everyday to visit our son until we could take custody so we could remove him from Semillas. The trip was one hour and fifteen minutes each way. We were very pleased to have our court hearing on March 5, 2009 to find out the judge dismissed our case and it was APPROVED!!!!! We took custody of Nicholas on March 12, 2009. So you could see we were not wasting time, less than 24 hours and we were on US soil.
So with all this said I wanted everyone to know why we were quite for so long. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, support, and understanding. Nicholas is so blessed to have each one of you in his life. Thru all this I have understood that GOD's timing is perfect and not ours. You have to keep your faith strong and know everything happens for a reason.
We love all of you and we could of not done this without you guys : )
